Tiles can be classified into the following main categories according to their effect:
Tiles are produced in dimensions that until a few years ago seemed unthinkable. The dimensions of the tiles nowadays range from dimensions as small as 30x30cm and can reach up to 160x320cm. Dimensions have changed as well as their applications. Tiles can be applied on benches, shower floors and can be used as decorative elements on walls beyond the bathroom area.
The thicknesses of tiles changes according to their area of application. Tiles exist with 3.5mm thickness used in cases where we do not want to raise the floors. The usual thickness of a conventional tile is about 9mm. Finally, 20mm and 30mm tiles exist for special applications due to their high durability.
